In 2018 the Pasifika Medical Association Group launched seven scholarships to assist Pacific people into medical and health-related careers. The scholarships have all been named after Life Members of the PMA who have given exemplary service to improving the health of Pacific people in New Zealand and in the region. The mentioned scholarships are awarded on a yearly bases as a one-off grant. Scholarship recipients can use this grant for tuition costs or study-related costs and may also use some of the grants to contribute to the living cost of the recipient whilst they are studying.

Dr. Leopino Foliaki – University of Auckland Scholarship
Will be awarded to a Pacific male and female student studying towards a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the University of Auckland School of Medicine. Students must be in their sixth year of study. The award is $10,000 per student. APPLY NOW
