ETU Pasifika is an Integrated Primary Care, Behavioural and family Services organisation based in Christchurch. The organisation is wholly owned by Pasifika Medical Association a Charitable Limited Liability Company.
We are currently developing and delivering an exciting new model of care which is relationship based, integrated, family driven, community supported and culturally anchored.
The population we serve is primarily a Pacific and refugee community which is diverse. The organisation has 25 staff including General practice registrars and is in the final stages of Cornerstone accreditation.
The Medical Director role will join a young and highly motivated leadership group consisting of Nursing, Navigational, Behavioural, Administrative and Cultural Leaders who are responsible for the strategic and operational development of the service offering to families and communities within the Christchurch region.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and vocationally registered Fellow of the College of GPs, preferably with teaching experience. Your role will include dedicated teaching time and protected management time to enable you to contribute fully to the ongoing development of the service.
You will have some experience in working with Pacific, refugee or migrant communities and will ideally have the cultural capability within a community. We will provide support and training in this area.
You will be data passionate and able to drive efficient and effective performance improvement projects in the service. You will welcome innovation and be flexible in your approach.
This is not a traditional General Practice model and is not based on 10minute appointments. It is an integrated team-based model, responsive and flexible to the needs of those we serve.
We offer a very attractive remuneration package, will invest in your ongoing development and training and will provide a generous leave provision and other benefits.
