Dr Chris Seu is of Samoan ethnicity, born in Auckland, New Zealand. He has ties to the villages of Toamua and Salelologa in Samoa. He studied and worked in Nursing (Psychiatry) with Faleola Services in the Pacific Mental Health Unit.
Inspired by the work of Dr Siale Foliaki on health services for Pacific communities and the need for more Pacific doctors, Chris decided to return to study Medicine and had his training at the University of Auckland. He is currently undertaking a post-graduate year 3 and is a training Psychiatric Registrar at CMDHB – Faleola Services, where his journey began.
Chris’ passion lies in health, specifically mental and primary health with a focus on Pasifika population. His hope is that during his journey he will make an impact on the mental and spiritual well-being of Pacific people and their families.
Chris is married with two children with another child on the way.
